MULLICA ISSUES CRASS POLITICAL PROCLAMATION FOR REPUBLICAN COUNTY EXECUTIVE CANDIDATE

At the Mullica Town Meeting held of June 26th ... in attendance was Republican County Executive Denny Levinson who inappropriately and as a clear political gesture was honored in a 'Proclamation' for his efforts (?) in stopping the proposed garbage rail transfer station from ending up in Mullica Township. Clearly, Levinson will be in the fight of his political life this November to continue as County Executive as the Democrats will be running against Levinson a potent vote getter in the person of Sheriff James Mcgettigan...thus making this 'Proclamation' a clear political stunt.

That is not to say that there were not key players in the County Legal and Health Department that played an integral role in reigning in the plot of the County Republican machine to place a garbage rail transfer station in Mullica. The analogy that seems most apt is the Bush Justice Department where there are many fine lawyers who tackle cases on their merits and seek to enforce the principles of Law regardless of whether Democrats or Republicans have been elected...they serve both Parties and more importantly the Law. And then there are the crass political considerations from ellected offica DUMB that have been in the news for awhile now ... with the political leaders attempting to manipulate the efforts of on line lawyers in the Justice Department to their job without political considerations.

Likewise, here in Atlantic County we saw members of the County Health Department like Pat Dillon and Kathy Naisel and members of the County legal department like Anthony Pagano and Miniska Joshi attempt to do their job without any political agenda and bring $$$ steve THE SCOFFLAW waszen into compliance with health codes and dumping laws that he repeatedly violated in Mullica Township.

At the higher political level of the County Republican machine we saw players like the Republican County Executive and Republican Chair of the Freelaoder Board, joe THE GARBAGE MAN COMETH silipena give meaningless and weak verbal support to Mullica's efforts to stop the garbage transfer station while as evidence by the Republican Freeloader Resolution that in reality failed to support the effort to stop the dump and merely stated whatever the Pinelands decided was fine with County Republicans...this as they had worked behind the scenes to bring the garbage project to Mullica, for the benefit of casino owners who would hae saved tens of thousands of dollars in their trash disposal costs.

The high praise shoveled at the public at the Mullica Town meeting was thus largely political and hypocritical in its targeting Levinson as a player in stopping the dump project. He was nothing of the sort!! However as noted, the efforts of Dillon, Pagano and Joshi.... are indeed deserving of high praise in the successful battle to stop the property from becoming a garbage dump. Of course now the effort is to turn the property into a housing project for casino workers...something that goes against the Master plan for the Pinelands as much as a garbage dump would have.

Also, and certianly more deserved proclamations of thanks were awarded to the two key State Deputy Attorney Generals, Ruth Carter and Kevin Auerbacher who brilliantly argued the case in Federal Court. The crass political nature of these proclamations was further evident in the failure to note the efforts of The Pinelands Preservation Alliance who had filed an amicus curi brief in Federal Court that was also important in the Court's decision to force the project to obtain Pinelands approval. The other legal party that argued the case in Federal Court and was stumbly, unprepared and ineffective was Mullica's whore solicitor, $$$ tim THE GIRLY MAN SHYSTER maguire $$$, but he like THE GARBAGE MAN COMETH silipena, had a different (political) agenda. Not surprisingly the 'No Dump' Mullica Citizens group was pointedly ignored by this Republican orchestrated stunt.
