WORD GAMES IN MULLICA -- NOISE OF SIGNIFICANCE

At the May 8th Mullica Town meeting, the first business item on the agenda, the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting of April 24th, which normally would be a 'badda bing' process, ...encountered a lengthy debate about the appropriate word to use to define the ambulance report that had been discussed. bill THE GARRULOUS kennedy who was a member of the ad hoc committee that prepared the ambulance report, indicated that the word 'draft' in the minuutes was not a correct description of the ambulance report, as it was the final report to THE CORRUPT MULLICA 5 AKA IDIOTS R US and should be describes as such...and not a 'draft'.

The Mayor, cathy THE BAG LADY chasey indicated that her view was that it was only a 'draft' and was not final until the IDIOTS R US grouping made a decision about the report. The report had called for going to a paid ambulance squad, which THE IDIOTS decided not to do. THE BAG LADY chasey indicated that she wished the minutes to reflect the report as only a 'draft' and a motion from fellow Republican janet THE AUTO INSURANCE FRAUD QUEEN OF ATLANTIC COUNTY forman 'as is' to approve the minutes could find no second.

Kennedy then proposed that the minutes be accepted with the change he proposed and his motion got a second. The vote, however, tied, as THE BAG LADY chasey, and THE AUTO INSURANCE FRAUD QUEEN forman, voted 'No,' with Kennedy and Kerhli voting 'Yes' and Turygan having to abstain as he was not at the meeting and could not vote to approve minutes for a meeting he was not at.

Well, the minutes have to be approved in some form, so there was this bizarre deadlock. Turygan who was a member of the ad hoc committee that had drawn up the ambulance report informed all that there had been a draft report but it was redrawn and the report presented at the previous meeting was not the draft, but the final report. Compromise of some sort was needed...and the decision was to amend the accepted minutes with a reference and clarification of the report being the final report from the ad hoc committee.

So what was the issue that forced THE BAG LADY and THE AUTO INSURANCE FRAUD QUEEN to insist strangely that the report was only a 'draft'? Well, a 'draft' report can more easily be ignored as one might argue that it was only a draft and thus carried no final conclusions. Remember this is what the Republican morons did with the State audit a decade ago that recommended increasing the liquor license fee from $250 to $2,000. They chose to sell out the larger community and not anger some of their Republican friends by raising the liquor license fee...the spin...it was only a draft. Here to with the ambulance report they chose to show allegiance to their Republican friend and supporter Gary Franklyn rather than acting on the fiscally wise conclusions of the report they rejected in April...calling it only a 'draft' played better politically...even if not a good thing for the community as a whole.
