NEW HIGH SCHOOL TO BE BUILT –GEHR

Plans to build a (new) third high school for Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District (Hamilton, Galloway, Egg Harbor City, Mullica) are complete and as required by law, a public referendum election has been scheduled for September 25th . While more than half the funding for the construction of the new High School to built in Egg Harbor City will come from the State, the four towns that send their students to GEHR will have to approve a bond to borrow the millions of dollars they will have to contribute to build the new high school.

The GEHR school administration will make a number of presentations to the public to spell out the case for passing the bond question. At the May 14th Mullica School Board meeting the best way to educate the Mullica citizenry was discussed on this project. The consensus seemed to be to try to hold at least two public meeting to allow the public to question the project.

There was also some indication that the Mullica Board and administration was looking seriously at the GadFly suggestion to tape meetings and make them available for viewing by the public on the School web site. This was pointed out when the discussion turned to ways to make the presentations more easily available to the Mullica citizenry and larry THE PEDANTIC MISANTHROPIC S.O.B. angel pushed for at the very least this GEHR presentation be placed on the school web site. GadFly will have more commentary on these proposed meetings and was requested by the Board to inform GadFly readers of when and where the pubic question meetings about the proposed new high school project will take place.

GadFly notes the strange feeling of being perceived as a communicative asset to the community by elected offica DUMB. But the ability to take in what is often the making of point in the most rude and often confrontation manner by GadFly which oft is rebuffed regardless of its merit…which is the norm with THE CORRUPT MULLICA 5 AKA IDIOTS R US crew…may be less evident with the Mullica School Board. The suggestion to make the School Board meetings viewable either on TV or through the School web site…initially rebuffed…now seems something the Board and school administration (to the surprise of GadFly) is reconsidering. Gee, the ability to reevaluate an initial position with new information is startling in the poisoned atmosphere of national and local Republican power.
