MULLICA’S OLD AMBULANCE BUILDING TO BE DEMOLISHED

The old Mullica ambulance building on Moss Mill road that now has a cell tower behind the old building will see the unsafe building soon demolished by the Mullica Road Department. There is an in ground oil tank that also will be removed. What the future plans for this building are is not clear as there has been at various times discussions of using the extant building with modifications as a new ambulance building also using the building for storage of records. At last nights Budget Hearing GadFly attempted to garner some clarity from Mullica’s Mayor, cathy THE BAG LADY chasey as to what future plans she saw for this building as part of the town’s long rage capital budget.

THE BAG LADY chasey who prefers to do everything in the back room hidden from the public was as always evasive ... but finally let it slip that her plans were to see a new expensive home for the extant poorly performing Rescue Squad on that site. HUH? Now it becomes clear why the hidden Ambulance Report has been hidden from the public. It underscores the bad decision that this would be for the residents...both financially and in terms of the inability of the present squad to provide the service. Votes for sale, one has to assume for this November’s election ... as again the control of the Mullica’s government will be at stake. This but another reason to throw the Republicans out of their decade long control of Mullica as they place their personal election over the safety of our community.
