Subject: It's not Saddam: If the capture of Saddam has made America safer, then why did the government immediately issue an Orange Alert? Maybe Howard Dean was right after all.
RESPONSE: It is a respect for the law that makes the world, a community, a country, a society; safer. The notion that an illegal preemptive war would make the world safer was BUSH THE LESSER lunacy. There is a basic intellectual irrationality that the doctrine of feeling threatened by another sovereign state gives one the right to invade that state. BUSH THE LESSER has established an administration that has no respect for international law nor our own Constitutional laws. Nietzsche warned us all about becoming what you hate and this Bush doctrine is what Saddam used when he invaded Iran and what Hitler used when he invaded Poland and Czechoslovakia. Don’t tell me Howard Dean is the only one out there who gets this, who sees the obvious parallel. We are all less safe as a result of this unlateralism. Kissinger was commenting about the Nixon administration but he could be commenting about THE LESSER'S when he said: THE ILLEGAL WE DO IMMEDIATELY, THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL TAKES A LITTLE LONGER.
