CAN THE TUNA!

Because tuna are not in the category of large, fatty fish such as swordfish and king mackerel which carry heavy loads of methylmercury--a pollutant widely believed to harm fetal brains they have not been on the FDA's warning list. That should change next year...well depending on how large the campaign donations are from the tuna industry to THE BUSH THE LESSER campaign.

Draft guidelines last week called for the counseling of woman to limit tuna intake to 6 ounces per week if nursing, pregnant, or even thinking about having a baby. While tuna tend to have lower levels of mercury; tuna steaks and albacore contain more mercury than "light" tuna.

With the whoring of THE LESSER'S administration's environmental standards to cash contributors to the Republican Party and BUSH THE LESSER'S plan to loosen factory regulations regarding mercury discharges it is problematic whether these FDA new warnings will be codified. As Ronald Reagan said: POLITICS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SECOND OLDEST PROFESSION. I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT IT BEARS A VERY CLOSE RESEMBLANCE TO THE FIRST.
